Doors of the Month: Ghent -Series 1

During my first trip to Ghent in 2017, I was struck by the fantastic series of doors, which I posted. (CLICK HERE to view).

When I revisited Ghent in April of this year for the Floralien flower show, I walked in areas of Ghent that I hadn’t seen on the last trip and discovered many more fantastic doors. The neighborhood I stayed in near the train station, had several Art Nouveau houses with decorative doors and I also liked the colored lines of bricks on some of the houses and how they either matched the doors or contrasted them.

This is just part one of the doors of Ghent, so stay tuned to more glorious doors next month.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted Paris door photos, so I am redeeming myself today for the absence. Door of the Month Dec. 2021: Zurich

Before I get to today’s post, I want to thank everyone some much for their heartwarming emails and messages about Vincent’s Christmas gift, and I am sorry if I couldn’t reply to you individually. 

When I visited Zurich in the end of October, I had no idea there would be so many great doors. In fact, I am posting only half of them today because of how many there were.

My Paris Apartment for Rent

I am looking to rent my apartment from March 22 to April 1, 2022 a total of 11 nights/10 days.

It’s a spacious, loft style, one bedroom, with 12-foot ceilings, wood parquet floors, kitchen with dishwasher, flat screen TV, queen size bed, a bathroom with a tub, and beautifully furnished with mid-century modern furniture. It’s on the second floor and there’s an elevator.

The apartment is in a great location, in the Marais by Saint Paul, right next to metro station, bus stop and taxi stand. Also great restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and food shops right outside your doorstep.

Price: 200€ per night, minimum of 7 nights. For the full 11 nights, it’s 2,000€ instead of 2200€.
