Shocking ! Les Mondes Surréalistes d’Elsa Schiaparelli
The Musee des Arts Decoratifs is celebrating Elsa Schiaparelli, one of the most innovative designers of the mid-20thcentury, big time. Close to 600 pieces of her designs including 212 fashion silhouettes will be exhibited together with sculptures, jewelry, perfumes, ceramics, posters, and photographs by her artistic peers of the time including Man Ray, Salvador Dalí, and Jean Cocteau. Designers Yves Saint Laurent, Azzedine Alaïa, John Galliano and Christian Lacroix have also contributed pieces inspired by the great Schiaparelli.
