Last week I went to see the spectacular 1,001 Orchids Show at the Jardin de Plantes. The eighth edition of the show is organized by four French orchid producers – Ryanne Orchidée, Vacherot & Lecoufle, Orchidium and Cour des Orchidées. 92,000 specimens of orchids are from the five conitnents- Africa, Asia, Americas, Oceania (including New-Caledonia) and Europe including 160 species from France and 1000 "wild" species.
Outside the exhibition is a tent selling rare orchid plants.
