Not only is my partner Vincent a talented art director, graphic designer, artist, filmmaker, and writer, he is also a terrific cook. During the lockdown, he stepped up his cooking to a whole new level and has been preparing lunch and dinner almost everyday. His dishes are eclectic and creative, plus he cooks super healthy with tons of veggies, lots of salads, especially at lunch, tofu, seafood, and chicken. He’s also been baking, making fruit tarts, cookies, and loaf cakes, using alternatives to white flour, and using little or no sugar.
The ironic part of this is that I was a chef and caterer for 21 years in New York, yet when I moved to Paris, I was done cooking and I hardly ever cook anymore, except to make an occasional soup or dessert.
Vincent is a visual person, so the presentation is always eye catching and appetizing as well. I’ve documented them with photos and posted them on Facebook. They always get the most comments and likes out of all my posts, and people always ask for recipes.
Since Vincent’s dishes have been such a hit on Facebook, I thought I would feature them on Eye Prefer Paris. I’ve either put an ingredient list for each dish or link to the recipe.
These dishes are easy to prepare and most of them take less than 30 minutes to make.
The cherry on the cake is that Vincent likes to clean too. Did I partner with the right guy or what?
