Walking up rue Vieille du Temple in the Marais, I discovered a new boutique that was a pleasant reminder of my recent vacation in Provence. Panier des Sens en Provence manufactures a line of soaps, lotions, skincare, bath and body products that use the high-quality standards of Savon de Marseilles and also the scents of perfume making in Grasse.
A family business started 2001, all the products are vegan and made in France, in or near Provence. Panier de Sens is also committed to sustainability and since 2009 has been part of the EVADD’S collectives sustainable development action, partnering with ANFOR (International Standardization Body).
The attractive boutique had glass shelves lined with appealing packaging with brightly colored graphics and flower illustrations. Romeo, the friendly salesperson, asked me soon as I walked in, if I wanted to try one of their liquid soaps to wash my hands with. There were four different offerings and I chose the Orange Blossom. The scent was sweet and tart at the same time, like an authentic orange. I spent a while testing and smelling the other products such as hand cream and moisturizer and I restrained myself from buying everything in the shop.
I am a soap collector and the large bars of verbena, jasmine, blue lavender, wild fig, and cherry blossom shouted my name, but again I refrained since I had just bought a slew of soap in Provence.
The gift sets are packaged in an adorable canvas pouch with their fruit enhanced logo, and next time I buy a gift, this will be my first choice.
I found the prices to be quite reasonable for the quality, with the large bars of soap priced at 6.50€, the big dispensers of liquid soap, 500ml, 12.90€, shampoo, 200ml, for 10€, and a honey and sugar body scrub for 22€.
Romeo was kind enough to give me a bunch of sample packets to take home, and I washed my hands with the lovely Rejuvenating Rose liquid soap. After my morning facial wash, I applied the Ultra Rich Face Cream with peony, which nourished and hydrated my dry skin. I will savor my samples until I run out and have to buy more.

Thanks for this article about Panier Des Sens. I just ordered a number of items for delivery here in the States.
I read your article from Travel Awaits on Chocolate shops. Les Trois Chocolate, near you, on Rue St. Paul is excellent and not as well know as the places you mentioned. Try them out.if you haven't already. They are one of my top shops.
