The above photo was sent by Darlene Zane- We have many favorite pics of Paris but this one is holds a special place. It was our first trip to Paris in May, 1983. The Marais was just starting to gentrify but many old shops still existed including this charcuterie run by this sweet madame. She spoke no English; we had high school French. But we managed to communicate & she said our French was good. She put together a delicious picnic lunch for us with salads she made a la maison. We'd heard so much about the rude French before we left San Francisco but did not find that to be true. And so began our lifetime love of Paris.

Billy Boyer-I took this photo on January 25, 2011. Late at night. Paris was cold. A light dusting of snow still lingered. The city was amazingly quiet and Notre Dame was just breathtaking.
Ann Wexler- My favorite bakery at the Place Maubert
Louise Colligan-Thank you for the invitation to share favorite Paris photos. I took this one near the Louvre Arc de Triomphe Carrousel, which I passed almost daily during a nearly two-year Paris sejour. My husband and I ran away from home for a "senior" year abroad, having never had a junior year abroad decades back in college. Our planned year turned into nearly two from 2008 to 2009+ We could barely tear ourselves away from the daily eye candy that is Paris. Crossing the Louvre Cours Carée or the Cours Napoléon shown in the photo on some errand or other was always a peak experience, which never failed to take my breath away. Paris rain showers (with occasional rainbows) are a daily possibility most times of year when umbrellas pop up everywhere. From my umbrella series of photos, this one, for obvious reasons, remains my favorite.

Bonnie Fields- Whenever I am in Paris I stop in St. Gervais Eglise and spend some moments in contemplation of history and what that edifice has seen. This is the walk toward the Eglise from the Seine in the Marais. It is usually full of people. But this time it too was having a moment of contemplation.
Kathy Moony- It is from January 2012 where we were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary. I love this photo of pots and pans hanging in front of Chez Clement.
Patricia Sheahan-Our first day in Paris before our river cruise to Normandy. These young girls on their way to somewhere special caught my eye. I wondered where they were going.
Susan Carter-It was really difficult to pick just one from the hundreds I have taken but this one, taken in 2015 during the first of 3 "Sister Trips" is a favorite and a typical Paris shot.
Bill O'Such- This one is perhaps 10 years old (I’ve been taking photos of Paris for over 20+ years). Along rue des Archives where this tension among the people is very interesting.
Harriet Godwin-The Lux garden is my favorite place in the city so stands to reason I would like this photo I snapped awhile back.
Peggy and Jim Bilbro-This was taken by my daughter in 2017 when we brought our family to Paris to help us celebrate 50 years of marriage, mostly happily!
Leah Kaviani- My favorite photos of Paris are ones I’ve taken when there with my grandchildren. Of those, I love this one of my then nine-and-a-half year old Caroline. She was a joy to show around, une vraie petite Parisienne! At fifteen, she still maintains her enthusiasm for everything French and asks when we are going back!Thank you for your blog. I also enjoy everything French!
Lisa Camp-Attached is one of my favorite Paris Photos I took this past October 2019. The beauty of La Tour Eiffel from the Shanghai Hotel was further highlighted by and evening with dear friends and flowing Krug Champagne in the seasonal Krug Lounge. A truly perfect evening.

Susan G. Coombe-I have so many photos of Paris that I love, but this one brings back special memories! April, 2015, and I took the macaron class at La Cuisine Paris. It was the only rainy day during our 10 days, so it was a good day to be indoors baking. The class was divided into 4 pairs, and my partner and I made the pink macarons. These were all made by the students. I've made them many times here at home, always using the recipe from the class, even though I have 3 cookbooks just for macarons!

Marilyn Roofner-This was taken on my first trip to Paris in 2013. It’s taken under the Pont des Arts. My mother and I stayed for a month and then returned for a month for 5 years. Absolutely wonderful memories and can’t wait to return. Thanks for sharing Paris with us.

This photo from an early trip to Paris always reminds me of the surprises and magical moments that can be found around every corner in Paris! My husband and I were being flâneurs one afternoon when we came to the Madeleine Church. Disappointed that we could not go inside due to a wedding in progress, we walked back outside and around the corner. The unexpected pleasure of seeing this horse drawn carriage, awaiting the bride and groom, met our eyes;)
MariEileen O'Brien-The attached is one of my favorite photos of my favorite city. It was taken in 2010, when I celebrated my 50th birth-day with a trip to Paris....all by myself. It was GLORIOUS! The day of my birth-day that year, September 18, was a Saturday. Unbeknownst to me, it was also a national holiday. I had been to Notre Dame the day before and was rather disappointed the bell towers were not accessible. However, a friend of mine who lives in Versailles called to wish me "Happy Birth-Day" and confirm plans for dinner. During the conversation, I mentioned the visit to Notre Dame the day before. Sanela then told me that, with the day being a national holiday, she thought the towers would be open and, perhaps, Notre Dame would be worth a revisit. I was very excited and set off to find out. Lo and Behold! The towers were open to visitors! I stood on the line for about a half hour and was thrilled to begin the climb to the towers. I climbed those 387 steps (and all around Paris) in my favorite red high heels, which I still have in a box with a note about the ND adventure! After stopping in to see the Bell Emmanuel, hung out for a bit on the parapet snapping away so as to capture the fantabulous surrounding views. And this pic of the "guardian gargoyles". I took a number of pics of the gargoyles but, this one is my favorite. The memory became even more precious after the fire.
Lynn Bryant- Place des Vosges, commissioned by Henri IV around 1605: one of the oldest squares in Paris and one of my favorite places to wander through or sit and people watch. We always stay in the Marias, so I go there every time I visit Paris.

Such a wide variety of photos. What fun to see Paris through the eyes of its visitors who obviously deeply love the city. These are intimate views of what inspired each of us to record a memory. You chose well

Thanks for setting aside so much space to indulge your readers' Paris memories. I recognize Ann Wexler's Place Maubert boulangerie where we bought our daily baguette when we were in Paris this past September. It's La Maison d'Isabelle where there was always a long line for all their yummies. On display were multiple trophies for their prize-winning breads and croissants. The cheerfu youngl baker and prize winner was often at the caisse with smiles and bonjours for all the customers no matter how busy it was. Merci, Ann W.
