After photographing the windows at Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, I walked to Place de la Concorde and took shots of the elegant Hotel de Crillon in all of its holiday glory.
The next day I visited the Four Seasons George V Hotel, which always does a bang-up job for its lobby décor for Christmas. Creative director Jeff Leatham from New York, has dispensed with his usual stunning floral arrangements and replaced them with striking reindeers made of shiny black resin, resting on a stack of black and gold Christmas balls, framed by long strands of glass drops acting as drapes. In the courtyard is a Geo-style dome made of silver and hundreds of micro-lights inside and a Christmas tree next to the bar was perched on a mountain of gold balls.
I took a few other shots of Place de la Concorde and the lights of the Champs Elysees for your enjoyment.
