In January I posted a series of photos from Montmartre Cemetery and you gave me great feedback. I’ve decided to post another series and would love to have your feedback again.
Here’s a list of well-known people who are buried in Montmartre Cemetery.
Hector Berlioz, Nissim de Camondo, Degas, Alexandre Dumas, Carole Fredericks, Sacha Guitry, Louis Jouvet, Francis Picabia, Francois Truffaut, and Emile Zola.
Perhaps the most famous person in Montmartre Cemetery is superstar legendary singer Dalida, who sold over 100 million records. In a very tragic story, Dalida committed suicide at age 54 in 1987, after her first husband, her best friend and her lover all committed suicide. You can see the outside of her house in Montmartre and also a square named after her nearby.
