Vincent and I are making Christmas dinner for friends and serving split pea soup, tagliatelle pasta with walnuts and sage, lamb meatballs with pine nuts, Swiss chard and warm yogurt sauce, a salad of fennel and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese ( I bought this amazing cheese in the Italian countryside earlier this month. The chef at Osteria Francescana, the three star Michelin restaurant in nearby Modena uses this cheese in his dishes) and a friend ordered a special Buche de Noel from one of the best patisseries in the Marais, Pain de Sucre.
