Fashion royalty Diane Pernet presents the eighth edition of her International A Shaded View on Fashion Film Festival. The festival has the special honor this year of having Jean Paul Gaultier as the head of the jury with 80 films and videos being shown.

A production of the last ballet Rudolf Nureyev choreographed, La Bayadere was first performed in Saint Petersburg in 1877. The story revolves around the eternal love of The Temple Dancer Nikiya and the warrior Solor.

The Carnavalet, the museum of the history of Paris, is closing for renovations in 2016.The last exhibit before the closure is a fitting farewell, a tribute to the Marais and the 50th anniversary of the Malraux Law, which saved the historic Marais district from destruction. The exhibit has photos, maps and architectural artifacts from the old Marais and also presents future architectural and culture centers being built.

New! Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Classes
I am happy to announce the launch of Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Classes. Come take an ethnic culinary journey with me and chef and caterer Charlotte Puckette, co-author of the bestseller The Ethnic Paris Cookbook (with Olivia Kiang-Snaije). First we will shop at a Paris green-market for the freshest ingredients and then return to Charlotte's professional kitchen near the Eiffel Tower to cook a three-course lunch. After, we will indulge in the delicious feast we prepared along with hand-selected wines.
Cost: 195 euros per person (about $210)
Time: 9:30AM- 2PM (approximately 4 1/2 hours)
Location: We will meet by a metro station close to the market
