No matter how many times I visit The Grand Palais, I always find something new to photograph.
Last month when I went to the Monumenta 2014:The Strange City- Ilya & Emilia Kabakov exhibit and discovered some new details I hadn’t shot before. The white angular walls in a maze like structure put up especially for the exhibit, made for some interesting shots with cutouts of the green metal details.
I also did some of the same shots in color and black and white and would appreciate your feedback on which you like better.
I want to thank everyone for their opinions about the No Love Locks project post from last Thursday and sorry I couldn’t answer you individually. Some of you had some interesting solutions and ideas that I hadn’t thought about before.

Most of these shots are really nice. The green versus white contrast is very rich. The photos where the whites have some texture and shadow are more successful than the all white flat areas.
As to color or black and white, you can emphasize texture and form with black and white, but it's hard to deny the emotional drive the color offers.

I have to agree with Richard. I found the photos very exciting on the one hand and very peaceful on the other.

Love these Richard...you have quite the "EYE"...are there 2 colors of green now, or was your lighting different in the last photo (btw-that was my favorite!)
