Dear subscribers: Some of you have not been recieving the photos in your email subscription the last few days, so I apoligize for the problem. I am working with Typepad the service that runs my blog to clear the problem up. Please let me know if the photos of today's post don't come through.
I am continuing today with my rooftop series that I started on Monday.
My friends Laurie and Blair live on a high floor on the rue de Rennes near Blvd Raspail in the 6th arrondissement. I was at their house last spring having dinner and in between courses, I ventured out on to their wrap around terrace with my camera. It was sunset and I started to shoot some rooftops and apartment buildings across from them. The light shifted rapidly as it got dark and I fixated on the same building façade shooting it from different angles. I also zoomed into the windows and caught some people ambling about in their apartments. I felt like a voyeur or maybe like James Stewart in the Hitchcock film Rear Window. I went to the other side of the terrace and captured the blue lights climbing the Tour Montparnasse with the traffic below. Also the building was under construction, so some of the photos purposely have scaffolding and tarps, which I thought added interest and texture.
Many of the photos look identical at first glance and may seem repetitive but if you look closely you will see the subtle tone differences and the moon getting bigger as it got darker.
I would love your feedback and comments.

I can't see the pictures on Internet Explorer or even Google Chrome...they come through fine on Firefox. On IE and Chrome, I can't even see them on your web site. Sorry---it can't be pleasant to try to deal with that. Hugs!
