The fall museum season opens with a bang with the reopening of the Le Palais Galliera fashion museum featuring the first major retrospective of superstar fashion designer Azzedine Alaia. Seventy models represent the iconic body sculpted looks Alaia has created in the last 34 years.

After a triumphant sold-out première season in Paris, French chanteuse Caroline Nin returns to the stage with her globally acclaimed show HYMNE A PIAF, a bilingual tribute to France’s most famous chanteuse Edith Piaf. I wrote a rave review about the show last spring and if you missed her last time, make sure you don’t miss her again. HIGHLY recommended.

Sergio Larrain Vagabondages
Chilean born photographer Sergio Larrain had a short-lived but prolific career of a little over 10 years. His brilliant black and white images caught the attention of Henri Cartier Bresson and Larrain was invited to join the Magnum Foundation of photographers. A series of 128 black and white photographs, including a precious set of vintage prints from Magnum Photos Collection will be shown along with some never before seen images. The abandoned children photos of Santiago, London, Paris, Italy, Valparaiso and the South America is part of the series.

New! Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Classes
I am happy to announce the launch of Eye Prefer Paris Cooking Classes. Come take an ethnic culinary journey with me and chef and caterer Charlotte Puckette, co-author of the bestseller The Ethnic Paris Cookbook (with Olivia Kiang-Snaije). First we will shop at a Paris green-market for the freshest ingredients and then return to Charlotte's professional kitchen near the Eiffel Tower to cook a three-course lunch. After, we will indulge in the delicious feast we prepared along with hand-selected wines.
Cost: 185 euros per person (about $240)
Time: 9:30AM- 2PM (approximately 4 1/2 hours)
Location: We will meet by a metro station close to the market
