I am always looking for new angles and ways to shoot the Eiffel Tower and other famous monuments in Paris.
The flagship Louis Vuitton shop on the Champs Elysees has a gallery space on the top floor with a separate entrance and elevator. I was told they usually have interesting exhibits and decided to check it out when I was in the area a few weeks ago. The exhibit was appealing but nothing to write home about. What caught my eye more were the scenic views of the city from a unique perspective I hadn’t seen before. It was one of those stormy, gray days with a dramatic sky in various hues of gray. What I liked most was the industrial elements of the rooftops, like chimneys, satellites, water towers and antennas that were in the foreground of the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur, giving them a more unusual and layered context.
Let me know how you like them. Prints of all of the photos on this post are available for sale. Please email me at r.nahem@gmail.com for details and pricing.
I want to thank everyone who emailed and commented with your sympathetic responses to my experience at Pom Cannelle.
