Scary fashion is not limited to some of the Paris runway shows. The new exhibition ARRRGH! Monsters in Fashion is a more fun and creative look at fashion rather than scary. Fifty-eight contemporary designers do their take on their inner monster with 80 looks. Alexander McQueen, Andrea Crews, Gareth Pugh, Issey Miyake, Henrik Vibskov,Bernhard Willhelm, Rick Owens, and Walter Van Beirendonck are among the designers shown.
“This is not an exhibition about the history of ‘monstrosity’ in fashion—there has always been monstrosity—but rather how do we see it today, and especially how do young designers see it today,” says Vassilis Zidianakis, the curator, and Walter Van Beirendonck inspired the exhibit.
Don't miss the mesmerizing film shown on four walls. I highly recommend the exhibit for kids and they don’t necessarily have to be into fashion to enjoy it.
