Paris vu par Hollywood
American filmmakers have long had a love affair with Paris almost since the beginning of film. Hotel de Ville celebrates the love affair with a new exhibit Paris vu par Hollywood. Twenty screens will display clips from 70 movies and one giant screen has a series of film excerpts, photos, and posters. Directors include George Cukor, Vincente Minnelli, Billy Wilder, Stanley Donen, Howard Hawks, Woody Allen, and Robert Altman. A special treat: the costumes worn by Audrey Hepburn in the film Charade with Cary Grant (One of my personal all time favorites American movies about Paris), designed by Hubert de Givenchy.
