This month I am giving you a triple treat: 3 Doors of the Month for the price of one. I am always on the rue Pont Louis Philippe for my Marais tours and my clients constantly point out how beautiful the doors are on this particular street. I have always said I would come back and take photos. Friday I had a few precious moments to capture them and decided to share my door bounty with you three fold. The architecture and doors are similar on most of the buildings on the block and I found out the buildings were built in 1830. I believe the last door at #24 is older. The doors all have panels of intricate iron work with figures like angels, soldiers, and animals. A few years ago # 11 rue Pont Louis Philippe was my Door of the Month.-http://www.ipreferparis.net/2008/04/door-of-the-mon.html

I love receiving your e-mails as I have lived in Paris and get there on a yearly basis, but your photos bring it all back to me. I can't get enough. How about a book just photos of the doors, door handles, door knockers. I would certainly buy it.
Thank you for your sensitive and discerning eye.
