I discovered this courtyard on the Ile de la Cité when Lynn and I had lunch at Au Bougnat last March. It's in a medieval building from 1512. There are so many charming architectural details including gates, doors, beams, stone walls, and wall plaques along with the the sprawling ivy climbing up the walls. The front of the building houses the excellent restaurant Au Vieux Paris d'Arcole, run by Odette and George and serves authentic Aveyron cuisine with organic ingredients from farms in the region. They also rent out apartments overlooking the courtyard.
