As usual, I caved and chose two contest winners. The coincidence is that both winners have Paris blogs.
The first photo was sent by Anne from Just Another American in Paris and is a quirky mural on the rue Vieille du Temple. The second photo by my friend and fabulous photographer Virginia Jones, whose blog is Paris Through My Lens, is the garden of the Carnavalet Museum shot through a leaded glass window.
Congratulations to the winners! You will each receive a copy of Murder in the Marais, generously donated by author Cara Black. Below are the runners-up.
Thanks so much to everyone who took the time to submit their photos and sharing their happy Marais memories.

I love the photos of both winners and I follow both of their blogs.
That photo by Virginia is the photo that began our emailing correspondence. And the photo by Just Another Amer. is as cute as can be.

All of these are wonderful and a reminder to lift our eyes from the pavement to the beauty and quirkiness of Paris. Good ideas for the next trip. Thanks all.

Appreciate the exposure and being mentioned in the same breath as a "real" photographer like Virginia. I'm strictly point and shoot but I do have my camera with me most of the time.

Almost every picture has to offer something unique and charmingly revealing. Having said that, my personal Palm d'Or is given to two non-winning pictures. The black and white timeless beauty rue de Barre by Shirley Lerman (the author somehow managed to catch on film/matrix the Paris that could have existed decades ago, something almost Cartier Bressonesque. The second one is the elegantly minimalist Place des Vosges by Verena Schrom. Good job!
