What struck my eye about this courtyard in the Northern Marais were the grand stairways with chipped painted stairs, intricate ironwork, and unfinished painted walls behind them. I also liked the interesting perspective the refection from the mirrors gave. The apartment building was probably a hotel particulier(private home or mansion) constructed in the mid-1600s and most likely the stairways are original.

So intriguing! Don't you just want to know all the stories of the feet that have walked that grand stairway? Interesting use of mirrors.

Amazing! Richard: is the place under costruction? What it used to be/going to be? Just a residential building?

If I promise to finish the repairs, will they let me move in?
I also noticed the writing on the mirror and thought it said "Amour." Richard, please tell!
