I was walking on the rue des Ecoles last week and discovered some delightful lanterns and address posts at two hotels.
I also re-photographed this fountain in Square Paul Langevin that I photographed in January. I love how the red flowers have grown in.

Thanks for this nice series! Particularly the sculptural address numbers. They really show what I want to return to Paris for. The lanterns remind me of the celebrated (still being created) iron work all over New Orleans, USA. Your photography has improved immeasurably since your early postings. You are getting in tight and composing carefully. Taking some time results in not ending up with a snap shot that usually doesn't contain the vision you saw. Kudos!

I stayed in the Hotel Familia my first night in Paris. I write about that at my food weblog here:

Richard,
You have a good eye. I have been many times on Rue des Ecoles and did not notice the lanterns. They are beautiful!
