I never know what's in store at Merci, an eccentric, eclectic emporium on the edge of the Marais.
I was in the shop last week and hundreds of cups, saucers, and pitchers were dangling on white strings from the 30 ft. skylight. They are a one off collection for Merci of 1,000 kilograms of white china designed by Paola Navone for the Richard Ginori 1735 collection. The one of a kind white mugs, plates, decorative objects, soup tureens, dishes, and jugs are playfully painted in child like colored patterns and sophisticated gold numbers and symbols. Pieces are sold by the kilo. Wouldn't it be fun to buy a whole set of these fab pieces?

Hi Richard, I was in Merci just over a week ago too. I just had to find it, and visit. Have read a lot about, loved it.
