Meredith Mullins: The Chartres Laybrinth

The Chartres Labyrinth—ancient stones worn smooth by the feet of so many travelers—spirits stepping in and out of time. From a distance, the labyrinth presents a puzzle but, once you begin the journey, the path becomes clear. There are a few bends in the road, and sometimes you have to dance around (or with) your fellow travelers (especially on the last day of the Chartres labyrinth season). But, you take one steady step at a time and, before you know it, you reach the center.
