I found this fabulous art deco door connected to this even more fabulous art deco building built in 1930 by architect and city planner Charles Lemaresquier. Lemaresquier (1870-1972) went to the Beaux Arts School and later went on to win the prestigious Rome Prize.
I was lucky enough to gain access to the lobby(meaning i snuck in when I saw somebody enter the lobby door without a code) and took photos of the still intact deco carpet and stained glass window illuminating the stairwell.

jGorgeous...this is the stuff you see in books, not actually in someone's place of residence. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Richard,
Reading about this particular Door of the Month - and it's building's distinctive 1930's details - made me realize that you've actually become an architectural historian of Paris ... a chronicler, scribe and archaeologist of each decade's "moments" in design. Hmmmm ... I sense a small important book is in the makes and someday I'll be ready to take in every page. Bravo ! - Cheryl

I loved the doors from Friday 21st. Beautiful. I think I will use them to design a fabric. I am really into patterns right now.
