I am amused by this large head bronze sculpture in the Jardin de Luxembourg. Le Prophete by sculptor Louis Derbre, stands 6.50 meters (21 ft.) and weighs 12 tons. It's a stark contrast to the delicately detailed queens of France statues in white stone lining the park.
Louis Debre is a world renowned sculptor and his work has been shown all over the world including Brazil, the U.S.,Canada, Norway, Japan, Indonesia and the Ivory Coast. His crowning achievement came in 1997 with the six monumental sculptures he did for the Hiroshima peace memorial.
