Door of the Month: 8 & 10 rue Aumale

I was with my delightful and adventurous tour clients Gail Sullivan and John Hess from Oakland, California when I photographed these two fabulous doors. It was my tour of the 9^th arr. that includes Pigalle, Notre Dame de Lorette and St. George Square. I had seen these doors a number of times, but never had my camera to photograph them. Gail was gracious enough to let me use her brand new Nikon cool Pix 80 camera and I was so impressed with the great photos it took, I went out and bought one.

 I especially like the beautifully carved, menacing looking chimeres and brass handles.
