There’s a one-block stretch on the quai de la Megisserie, off the Pont Neuf, where the animal kingdom reigns supreme. Everything from goldfish to a terrarium with miniature Roman ruins including the Coliseum to newborn kitties, can be bought at the animalerie’s (pet shops) lining this lively, sometimes ferocious rue.
