Saturday night was my second annual Paris bloggers party at my apartment. The festivities began at about 8PM and lasted till after 1AM. It was nice to catch up with many of my fellow bloggers who I have not seen since the last party in December of 2006. I was happy to hear the progress some have made in the past year. Like a modern day Dolly Levi, I love putting people together with common interests. There were a few new bloggers added to the mix and we missed some from the last party who couldn’t attend.
Polly Lyman, Polly Vous Francaise & Amy Alkon,Advice Goddess
Patricia Laplante Collins, Paris Soirees
Elisabeth Formount, La Coquette & Lorin Kalisky, Franglo
I served a simple, tasty supper of bowtie pasta with sundried tomatoes, black olives, basil, and feta cheese, a salad of fresh beets and endive, and crostini topped with white bean & Herbs de Provence puree, and a black olive, roasted red & yellow peppers, and marinated artichoke tapenade. My friend David Sprawls generously supplied his frozen Margarita mix in a bag from his company David Drinks, which was a big hit. It’s a pre-made mix that you fill with tequila and water and freeze for several hours and Voila! -tasty frozen Margaritas. To set the mood, I dimmed the lights, lit my grand candelabra, and had a playlist of Amy Winehouse, vintage Madonna, Stacey Kent, and Mary J. Blige.
Everybody had such a good time, that I was requested to make it a semi-annual event. Maybe I will take them up on the request.

Richard, so sorry I wasn't able to make it to your blogger party! And I know this is a bit belated, but things just got a bit crazy there and I've been under the weather for a few weeks now -- have just started crawling out over the past few days!
Looks like you all had a great soirée -- maybe next time around I can join you!
