Nothing says summer in Paris to me more than the window boxes and garden terraces sprouting glorious flowers and plants. Geraniums, hydrangeas, wild bamboo, hibiscus, roses, and many more that I don't know the names of, are overflowing the terraces and window boxes all over the city with many of their blooms poking out of the spaces of the iron grills. I love the TLC Parisians give to their plants and flowers along with their green thumbs. I have been photographing and smelling them for the last few weeks. The last two shots are from the steps of the Madeleine church.
