Yes, you're mostly right, the Hôtel de Montmort, as it was called, is where Molière read Tartuffe aloud. Auditors were host Louis de Montmort and his guests.

I used to live at 79, rue du Temple in the 1st floor apartment (the one with the really tall windows.) It is the Hotel Montmor and was built in 1623 by the Montmor family, who were sponsors of science and academics. The astronomer Gassendi live here for a time and with Montmor developed the a science academy there. It has one of the few sun dials in the architecture (up on the 3rd floor) in Paris. It was a wonderful place to live, great location and I had the best guardien in all Paris : )
