Built in 1910, the Sévres-Babylone stop borders the 6th & 7th Arr., crossing Boulevard Raspail.
The rich tile work on the #10 line platform and in the entrance way makes this station special. The street Sevres in the X111th century originally led to Sevres, the famous porcelain and ceramics manufacturer, which is the reason for the beautiful tiles.
The main entrance is on Square Boucicaut, a small, lush green park, built in 1870 and named after Aristide Boucicaut, who started the Bon Marché department store across the street. The site once housed the former leper-house of the Saint-Germain-des-Près Abbey.
